We allow anyone over the age of 18 to use our sauna. However, an adult must accompany children under that age (but over age six). We recommend that children only stay in the sauna for 15 minutes. The National Institutes of Health advises against sauna treatments during pregnancy. Raising body temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit during pregnancy increases the risk of birth defects in the developing fetus. However, research shows far-infrared rays safely increase lactation in breastfeeding mothers. New mothers also benefit from detoxification, relief from anxiety and depression and a stronger parasympathetic nervous system.
